It has already been a month since "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" has been released, and now, it has also launched its first downloadable content (DLC) pack titled "System Rift." The expansion offers a new storyline as well as new stages and companions for the game.

As stated in Game N Guide, "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" takes place in the year 2029, and around this time, humans who are equipped with mechanical body parts have caused conflict within the society. It is up to the main character, Adam Jensen, to solve the crisis but the character is also struggling since he is an augmented human too. In his investigation, he is equipped with the most advanced weapons and guided by his own wits in order to stop the madness.

Meanwhile, "System Rift" adds a brand new story to the title and a character from "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" is also returning.

Lead writer Avi Winkler was able to share some details about the expansion to PlayStation Blog.

Winkler mentioned: "Francis Pritchard, Adam Jensen's friend and former colleague at Sarif Industries, returns in System Rift, and new colorful banter between these two characters adds an interesting dynamic to their relationship."

He adds, "Fans of Breach, our new game mode included in Mankind Divided, will get to meet ShadowChild in person and experience the origin story of the 'Breach' itself."

Based on the reports from Gamespot, the expansion will also allow gamers to infiltrate the Palisade Bank Corporation's Blade facility. In the location, secrets will be uncovered regarding the details of the bank's founders. Moreover, players will begin in the plaza of the building and from there, it is up to them if they would be able to find secrets and items. There are also different routes in which they can enter the facility.

The first expansion of "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided," called "System Rift" can be purchased for $10 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
