'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided' news: Game producer gives his thoughts about its themes

(Deus Ex)"Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" will be out August 23.

Fans are expecting the return of the "Deus Ex" franchise with the upcoming game, "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided." The developers of the game have already attained Gold status ever since it was finished. The producer of the game, Olivier Proulx, was also able to speak to IGN and shared his thoughts regarding the game that is soon to be released.

"Deus Ex: Human Revolution" was the last title that was released back in 2011 for the franchise and it gained great reception. Fans are more than happy that "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" is already done and that there will be no more delays for the launching of the game. Players are also excited to be able to control Adam Jensen again in order to save humanity one more time.

The timeline of the new game will be two years later from the events that occurred during "Deus Ex: Human Revolution." The main conflict of the game will focus on a certain group, the Illuminati, that hacked the mechanical limbs of the augmented people. The hacking causes the limbs of the augmented people go out of control thus bringing arm to non-augmented humans. Furthermore, this resulted in a divide between the augmented beings and non-agumented beings.

It is up to Adam to stop the madness of the Illuminati. The main protagonist of the game will also be part of a secret group of hackers named Juggernaut Collective. This group is also on Adam's side in working to prevent the Illuminati from causing more destruction.

The producer Olivier Proulx was able to discuss with IGN regarding how the game works. He has mentioned how player's choices will affect the game. He mentioned, "The way you play and some of the decisions you make - either your gameplay style or the way you talk to people, quest and explore - definitely has an impact in the world. Sometimes it has a big impact, like life or death, or sometimes it's just in the little details, like you might not realize right away, but a character might comment on how you perform, or you'll read an email that's customized to what you did in the game. It's very cool, it's empowering as a player to have agency."

The producer of the game has also discussed about the themes with regards to the augmented humans. He explained, "We explore this theme in the side-quests but on a more personal level. The main story is all about the politics around [augmentation], and the big time players and how they try to steer the lives of millions of people through the main storyline, and that's cool."

"Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" was supposed to be released back in February, but the developers of the game has announced a delay for the release. It is now slated to be launched on August 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
