'Dragon Ball Super' episode 51, 52 spoilers, plot: Mai and Future Trunks' story to be given focus; Gohan-Future Trunks fusion possible?

(Dragon Ball Official)"Dragon Ball Super" features the Future Trunks story arc and in episode 51, Future Trunks will see present Mai.

"Dragon Ball Super" spoilers have indicated that the upcoming episode 51 will highlight the characters Future Trunks, Future Mai, Black Goku and Gohan.

Titled "Feelings that Transcend Time: Trunks and Mai," the episode will feature more of Mai and her history with Future Trunks and their battles against Black Goku.

Previously in "Dragon Ball Super," Mai was thought to be dead, but apparently she isn't. This doesn't mean she's out of the woods yet because Black Goku has traveled once again to the future and caused some problems.

In the upcoming episode airing on July 10, Black Goku managed to be in the present due to time distortions, as detailed by Todd Blankenship. In the middle of his fight with Goku, Black Goku got too close to the time distortions, getting drawn in as it started to close. However, before he disappeared, Black Goku managed to destroy the time machine that Future Trunks used. Present Bulma, however, managed to salvage a time machine previously used by Cell by storing it in a capsule. This will then be repaired and used by Goku and his team to go to the future to take down Black Goku once and for all.

While the upcoming episode will feature the repair of the time machine and the pursuit of Black Goku, Future Trunks and Mai's budding relationship will also be given focus. It is also expected that Future Trunks will share about the time when he and Mai first met.

Meanwhile, Future Trunks is also expected to return to the future to help fight against Black Goku in episode 52, titled "Master and Pupil Reunion: Son Gohan and Future Trunks."

But first, the events from episode 51 will continue with Bulma still attempting to complete the repair of the time machine. Future Trunks, on the other hand, will seek out Gohan, who has been his guide and mentor in the future.

Rumors have it that Future Trunks will try to persuade Gohan to get up and fight again. Gohan is also expected to be the hero from a powerful enemy set to destroy the earth. In addition, there are also those who speculate that there might be a fusion between Future Trunks and Gohan since the latter appears to be the only Saiyan who doesn't have a partner to fuse with.

"Dragon Ball Super" airs Sundays, 9 a.m. Japan time on Fuji TV.
