'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' release date, news: Latest gameplay video shows Final Explosion of Majin Vegeta

(Facebook/DBZ.videogames)'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' will drop on Oct. 25.

New gameplay videos were uploaded online recently for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." They focused on some key characters such as Gohan, Krillin and Majin Vegeta. Furthermore, the number of characters that will be available in the roster may have already been confirmed. 

One of the latest gameplay clips that were released features the mission of Krillin and Gohan. The video was shown during the 2016 Tokyo Game Show (TGS) event and it can be seen that the objective of both characters was to escape from Frieza's minions. The Time Patroller was there to support Krillin in battling Dodoria and Zarbon.

Another video presents the brutality of Majin Vegeta and it was shown that the character was really powerful. One of his iconic moves, Final Explosion, was also showcased in the clip. It is a deadly ability that only Vegeta can execute, but in his Majin form, its power level increases.

There are already a lot of characters that have been confirmed for the upcoming game and it is said that the total number will reach up to 87. However, only 68 playable characters were revealed so far and it's possible the rest may come via downloadable content (DLC).

Some of the new characters that were announced are Cooler, Metal Cooler, Janemba and Turles. Meanwhile, the returning fighters include Piccolo, Krillin, Tien and Yamcha. There are also different forms of Son Goku that gamers can choose from within the sequel and this applies as well to Gohan and Trunks.

There are speculations that the playable characters that may come in DLC packs may include that of the first form of Frieza, Nuova Shenron, Ice Shenron, Hercule, Videl, and Rasberry. Furthermore, there are other reports saying that the video game will have a playable demo during the Play Expo Manchester event scheduled for Oct. 8 to 9.

The official release date for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is Oct. 25 and it will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
