'Dragon Ball Xenoverse' news: New free update coming on Feb. 27, DB Super Pack 2 on Feb. 28

(Bandai Namco)"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is set to be released on Feb. 28.

Bandai Namco is set to release the second downloadable content (DLC) drop — the DB Super Pack 2 — for the game "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" on Feb. 28. Moreover, the company has announced to come out with a free update on Feb. 27.

The new free update will be available for download using Xbox One, Play Station 4 and PCs in Europe. It will contain boosts including new costumes for Zangya and Bido (Android 15 and Metal Cooler Suits). There will also be two new expert missions: Broly and Janemba. Five new attacks are likewise added: Jumping Energy Wave, Tail Slice, Wild Hunt, Focus Flash and Menacing Flare.

The update will also feature new rulesets for the Tenkaichi Tournament. In the level "Character Tenkaichi," all players need to fight the same persona. This character could be "Pan Tenkaichi," "Yamcha Tenakichi" or "Goku Tenkaichi."

In "Group Tenkaichi," players can choose to fight characters from a specific group. For instance, if they choose "GT Cup," they can only select GT roles.

On the other hand, the DB Super Pack 2 for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will feature a new universe chapter story. It will also include two new exciting characters (Champa and Vados). In the trailer released by Bandai Namco, Champa is the brother of Beerus, the god of destruction in Universe Seven. In "Dragon Ball Super," he is characterized as impatient and loves to compete with his brother in food showdowns. On the other hand, Vados is Champa's martial arts master. She loves watching the brothers duel over foods. She is loyal and obedient to Champa.

There will be an additional stage (U6 vs U7 Tournament), eight new attacks, three new costumes, saiyan space pod vehicle, five new super souls and new emotes.

DB Super Pack 2 is expected to cost the same as the first DLC — roughly around $8. More details are provided on the official "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" website.
