CBS's series "Elementary" places the much-loved and eccentric detective, Sherlock Holmes, in New York as he takes cases, investigates and finds criminals along with his sidekick, Watson.

Season three has many surprises for fans as Kitty's life is threatened. The official promotional clip, released by CBS, shows Sherlock getting angry and aggressive while trying to crack his latest mystery, according to Hollywood Hills.

The episode, titled "The One That Got Away" will see Kitty undergoing an emotional crisis because her safety is threatened. Holmes and Watson intensify their efforts to catch her attacker. Additionally, the origin of Sherlock and Kitty's relationship is finally exposed to fans in the upcoming episode.

TVLine reports that Kitty's safety is threatened because a body is left by her attacker in New York. The body that is discovered was attacked in the same way that Kitty was attacked. Moreover, since the murderer always took great pains to hide the body, it seems that he or she left it to be discovered in order to send a message to Kitty. The promotional clip depicts Holmes telling Kitty, "He clearly has plans for you...He has announced himself."

While Holmes tries to protect Kitty, by suggesting safe houses in which she can hide, it seems she will have none of it. The private investigator's protégée wants to take down her attacker. It remains to be seen if Kitty will stay out or put her life on the line for taking down her attacker.

Watson's employer, Del Gruner, will be played by Stuart Townsend in the upcoming episode. Episode 12 "The One That Got Away" will premiere on CBS on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 at 9 p.m. central time. Fans shouldn't miss the episode if they wish to know Kitty's fate or the reason behind Kitty and Sherlock's relationship.
