Eminem new album 2016 release date news: Slim Shady busy with other commitments

(REUTERS/MARIO ANZUONI)Rumors of a delay continue to surround Eminem's new album.

There have been widespread rumors concerning the reason for the delay of Eminem's upcoming album. From celebrity beefs to financial troubles, the rumor mill is in no shortage of speculations. But some reports have suggested that the famous rapper is simply busy with other projects.

According to ChattSportsNet, the "Lose Yourself" rapper has a ton of commitments dotting his schedule. Apart from composing a song for DC's "Suicide Squad" soundtrack, Marshall Mathers has been occupied with many business ventures, including one with StockX and another involving his mobile game, "Shady Wars."

He is also collaborating with Paramount for a potential television series that he could serve as an executive producer and music supervisor on. He has also been quite busy with performances in South America.

Apart from that, Eminem also seems to be busy with philanthropy, using his means and voice to help underprivileged children get proper education.

It was previously reported that there were talks of Eminem in a feud with Canadian rapper Drake. There was even a rumor involving a Drake diss track being included in Eminem's new album. However, the rumors were put to an end when Drake proved that there was no bad blood between the two. The Real Slim Shady appeared on stage with the "Hotline Bling" singer during the latter's Summer Sixteen Tour.

Another popular assumption behind the delay is Eminem's supposedly troubling financial state. The rapper has been included in Forbes' top earners list for years, but his name was noticeably missing from the recent issue. However, if there is any truth to this assumption, it would make much more sense for Eminem to release new content in order to increase cash flow.

Besides a new album, the Detroit rapper is also apparently going to be involved in another film based on his former bodyguard's book titled "Shady Bizzness: Life as Marshall Mathers' Bodyguard in an Industry of Paper Gangsters."

Since there has been no confirmation as of yet, fans should take this news with a grain of salt.
