Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) is ready to be swept off her feet by the well-mannered and charismatic Angelo Dubois (guest star Taye Diggs) in the next episode of "Empire."

In the episode titled "What Remains is Bestial," the synopsis (as per CarterMatt) reveals that the flirting that took place during Angelo's anti-violence summit will escalate pretty quickly. Cookie was certainly not hiding the fact that she found Angelo an attractive man. Angelo also looked like he was interested in Cookie and how she remained friends with her ex-husband Lucious (Terrence Howard). In the next episode, will the pair finally go out on a date?

Cookie first saw the politician when he arrived for an interview in Jamal's (Jussie Smollett) radio show. At first, she found him too boring for her taste. That soon changed though when Cookie realized there was more to Angelo than meets the eye. Lucious was certainly hopping in jealousy when he saw how she kept on sending flirty glances the other man's way. Although he could see that Cookie did not want to accept his advances to win her back, the Empire CEO is far from giving up. Viewers can expect that he will continue with his mission to earn Cookie's trust again.

Meanwhile, superstar Mariah Carey will finally appear on the FOX series. Her character, Kitty, will be asked by Cookie to help her son overcome his post-traumatic stress disorder. Jamal still cannot perform in front of many people after he got shot by Freda (Bre-Z) last installment. Kitty is expected to work with him on a duet and help him get back on his feet again. It has been previously revealed that Carey's character would be a valuable ally for Cookie. Does she really hold the key to Jamal's recovery?
