With Bethesda's recent announcement regarding their fourth installment in the Fallout series, "Fallout 4," fans of the IP have never been more excited—most especially GatorMacheteJr, a fan of the game. GameSpot has reported that retailers are now accepting pre-orders for the game but reddit user GatorMacheteJr, has a different currency in mind.

In the post-apocalyptic world of "Fallout," a bottle cap is more valuable than cash and it is being used as currency.

The die-hard fan sent his collection of 11.2 pounds of bottle caps to Bethesda hoping that they will accept it as payment. "Fallout 3 was my favorite game for several years, so I made the rational choice to start saving up bottle caps. Turns out 4.5 years of undergrad and 3 years in a Master's program leads to a lot of drinking," he said on his imgur post.

He also stated on his letter that he was not sure how much the exchange rate is, as the price was posted in "pre-war currency." The most surprising part though was the number of bottle caps he collected during the years. "Using my bathroom scale and a number I found on Wikipedia, I'm thinking this is somewhere in the range of 2,240 caps. That ought to cover it, right?"

As reported on Ubergizmo, there are still no updates whether Bethesda has received the bottle caps or if they will ever accept it as payment. However, Gator is open for negotiations if Bethesda does not accept this. "If caps are not an acceptable form of payment, let me know and I'm sure we can work something out."

"Fallout 4" is set for release this coming November 10, 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as on PC. According to IGN, Bethesda also announced that mods will be integrated into the console version and that companions will not die.
