'Fallout 4' news: More details revealed about the infinite gameplay and crafting system perks

(Official Fallout 4 Facebook)Fallout 4's protagonist will have Dogmeat by his side as they traverse the barren wasteland

Since the 2015 Gamescom, developer, Bethesda, has revealed to fans the trailer and many key features that they can expect when the upcoming "Fallout 4" video game is released.

For fans of the "Fallout" franchise who think the November 2015 release date is still a long way to go, here is everything you need to know about the game so far.

Gameplay

"Fallout 4" will have excellent graphics and smooth gameplay thanks to a Full HD 1080p resolution with 30 frames per second.

The game is set in post-apocalyptic Boston but players will be able to see a bit of backstory before they are thrust into the barren wasteland.

"Fallout 4's" story will start right before the bombs were dropped on Oct. 23, 2077. Civilians leave their homes and make their way toward Vault 111 for shelter. However, when the human protagonist wakes up 200 years later, he discovers that he has not aged at all and that he is all alone.

Apart from the main premise, everything else about the plot is a mystery.

Character

"Fallout 4" will have a good balance of bringing back old characters and introducing new ones.

Protectron and Deathclaw are two characters that will return to "Fallout 4." The ghouls will also return but will appear much scarier and much more skilled.

Dogmeat, the protagonist's canine companion, will play a more central role. Dogmeat can be commanded to scout areas for loot. Fortunately, Dogmeat cannot die this time around.

Dozens of new characters will also be available to accompany the protagonist. Mr. Handy. Preston Garvey and Piper are among the new characters. Mr. Handy also has the capability to say the player's own name.

The protagonist can also choose to fall in love or choose to go through the game completely alone.

Crafting System

New to the game are the customization options labeled as the "Crafting System."

Players can build their own settlements in the wasteland, but must do so warily, as raiders can attack anytime.

The game allows players to customize their home, objects and weapons such as guns and personal armors.

The Crafting System is not mandatory gameplay. Players who do not want it have the option to skip this feature. Players who choose to customize though, may get more added benefits.

S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats

Rather than leveling up and reaching maximum level caps, "Fallout 4" will feature S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats for a more personalized character progression.

The game features 70 base perks and each base perk comes with its own multiple ranks. Players can keep exploring and powering up even after they have completed the main story. This ensures infinite gameplay as players can keep playing for a long, long time.

There are many more features that have yet to be revealed but from what has been revealed so far, it seems that "Fallout 4" will be one of the most talked about games of the year.

"Fallout 4" is set to be released for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Bethesda's game will not be coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3.
