"Fear the Walking Dead" is steadily gaining momentum as stills and clips from the movie are being released.

In the most recent clip that AMC has released, an eerie shot of three missing posters with offerings of flowers and candles are shown. It then cuts to Travis (Cliff Curtis) and Madison (Kim Dickens) driving around Los Angeles and ends with a man or most likely, a zombie, shuffling under a tree. A previously released clip showed Madison, a guidance counselor, advising a student to ignore the news reports he saw online about a new, deadly virus that is quickly spreading through five states.

While the trailers are catchy and interesting, they still do not give much in the way of information about the companion series to the popular zombie apocalypse show "The Walking Dead." However, the show's synopsis does give viewers some idea on what to expect.

The way the synopsis described it, "Fear the Walking Dead" takes us back to the beginning of the zombie apocalypse – a time when the world was changing rapidly for reasons unknown, before anyone understood exactly what was happening, when life as everyone knew it was upended and altered in ways no one could have ever imagined."

That could be one reason why the teasers remain vague – without the show supplying specific images, viewers are left to imagine how they think society collapsed. And it makes them want to see the show and see if what they imagined matches the series.

"Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman appears to agree. In a conversation with "Nerdist," Kirkman acknowledges that Rick (Grimes) waking up from a coma was a fun and "great way to open the original show."

But "Fear the Walking Dead" travels a different path, one where viewers can watch "civilization crumble around these people" and how they had to learn to adapt quickly if they want to survive.

"Fear The Walking Dead" stars Kim Dickens (Madison), Cliff Curtis (Travis), Frank Dillane (Nick), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Alicia), Elizabeth Rodriguez (Liza), Ruben Blades (Daniel), Mercedes Mason (Ofelia) and Lorenzo James Henrie (Chris).
