'Fear the Walking Dead' season 2 cast to join Comic-Con 2016; details activities

(AMC)Mother and son, Madison and Nick, will be separated for the first time since the series started on "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2.

The second season of "Fear the Walking Dead" will not air until more than a month from now, but fans of the show will get to hear spoilers straight from the cast in the upcoming Comic-Con 2016.

For AMC Network's event, "Fear the Walking Dead" will be the first to be presented on July 22 at Hall H of San Diego Convention Center, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Executive producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, and Dave Alpert will compose the panel along with cast members Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Frank Dillane, Lorenzo James Henrie, Mercedes Mason, Colman Domingo, and Danay Garcia.

The cast will also hold an autograph session on July 23 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. while boarding a "Fear the Walking Dead" yacht parked at the Fifth Avenue Pier behind the convention center. The same yacht will be used for an activity with the fans called "Fear the Walking Dead – Abigail experience" from July 21 to July 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The first few episodes of season 2 were spent on a yacht called the "Abigail" and the logo for the season features the yacht as well. The passengers of the boat eventually docked in Mexico where they were seen falling apart during the midseason finale.

The intense cliffhanger was met with varied reactions from the fans, most of whom are worried that one or more of their favorites could end up being a walking dead. Nick (Dillane) has found a way to walk among the undead and he has decided to stay behind despite Madison's (Dickens) plea. Travis (Curtis), on the other hand, decided to stay behind as well to focus on Chris (Henrie) who seems to be losing his grip on reality.

Season 2 has eight more episodes to go and will resume on Aug. 21 on AMC.
