FIFA 15 update: Sept. 23 release date, 'agility and control' boost, no Brazilian clubs

Electronic Arts (EA) has given 'FIFA 15' a September 23 release date, with "agility and control" as the cornerstone of the new game.

Based on a new gameplay video, players should expect to "see closer control and more realistic player movement, new ball physics and crunching physical challenges."

Fans can expect shirt pulling, new emotional reactions and responses during pivotal moments and movement patterned on real-life soccer superstars.

Players will also feature impressive layers of details that will make them look powerful and athletic in the video game.

Aside from realistic mannerisms and player movements, the dynamic match presentation will provide an immersive and lively experience, again similar to what happens in a real soccer competition such as crazy bench reactions and 10-man goal celebrations.

The stadium will also be filled with emotions and wear down as the match progresses, with marks, slide tackles and visible debris on the pitch.

The developers have also incorporated physics to the ball to create accurate and crisp momentum spin.

However, many will be disappointed to learn that EA has excluded Brazilian domestic leagues from FIFA 15.

"Today, we want to inform you that due to some changes in the ways players are licensed in Brazil domestic leagues, we were unable to reach an agreement with the Brazilian rights holders for their inclusion in FIFA 15. While this is unfortunate news for many of our fans, we were able to retain the Brazil National Team in FIFA 15 as well as the Brazilian stars that play in other top leagues around the world," the blog explained.

The World Cup FIFA 2014 has just been concluded, and is deemed one of the most successful tournaments in past years with Germany winning the championship against Argentina.

FIFA 15 can definitely benefit from World Cup hangover, especially with its realistic approach thanks to emotional intelligence injected in the virtual players.

Lionel Messi, perhaps this generation's greatest player, will be featured on the cover of FIFA 15.
