The announcement for the remake of "Final Fantasy VII" was made during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) back in 2015. After the event, there haven't been many details that were released. However, Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the remake, has hinted that more details will be announced soon.

"Final Fantasy VII" is a classic hit and has also gained a huge fan base in the gaming community. Gamers rejoiced when it was first announced that the video game was officially having a makeover. As time passed though, Nomura has been silent regarding the new details of the remake.

Famitsu was able to speak to Nomura with regards to the details of the upcoming "Final Fantasy" game. He was also asked about "Kingdom Hearts 3" since he was also the director of the title. KH Insider was able to translate the interview from Japanese to English.

In the interview, Nomura stated that Square Enix is leaning more on announcing the new details in a big way. The company prefers this method, rather than giving details to their fans in bits and pieces of information.

Nomura also mentioned in the interview, "We are currently getting specifics ready for the next information release, and just like we've done with KH2.8 this time, we plan to bring a whole lot out in one go instead of dribs and drabs, so please look forward to it."

There are speculations that Square Enix is prioritizing the release of "Final Fantasy XV." This is probably the reason why there are no new details that are being given out yet regarding the seventh installment of "Final Fantasy."

Fans are anticipating that the event for the new announcements will be held during the fourth quarter. It seems that this will take place after the release of "Final Fantasy XV," which is on September 30, and the before the launch of "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue."

In addition, the "Final Fantasy VII" remake will also be released in an episodic format.
