More details about the game "Fortnite" was announced during this year's Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), along with game developer, Epic Games' eager announcement that a beta will be coming to Mac and PC before the game's scheduled release.

The game, which was initially announced back in 2012, was demonstrated by Epic Games' Josh Adams and Bill Bramer during the WWDC. The game was ran on a Mac, using Apple's Metal technology which first appeared in iOS 8. This new technology has helped them create better graphics for the game which they said would also be coming to the new operating system later this year, called "El Capitan."

In the demo, a character can be seen running around and collecting various materials as a large storm closes, bringing in monsters. The game proved to be an interesting combination of games such as "Minecraft", "State of Decay" and "Team Fortress 2".

Most of the action from the game, which was previously revealed in previews and betas, show that the game revolves around characters working together to build forts to protect them and keep monsters out. The first part of the game focuses on scavenging raw materials from various sources such as trees, rocks and cars. These items would then have to be used in creating tools, weapons, ammunition and even potions that can be used to revitalize the health of characters. At this stage, players will already encounter their fair share of zombies, but these zombies are few and far between compared to the amount of zombies they will encounter in later stages.

The second part of the game focuses on finding a portal and creating a fort complete with walls, ceiling, doors and windows, as well as a fort sturdy enough to keep zombies out. Players will also have to create a maze around the fort so they have enough time to fight the zombies and prevent them from getting to the portal.

Fortnite is currently gearing up for its launch, which will officially bring the game to Macs and PCs.
