Fans of the "Halo" franchise will love the new car that was recently announced for "Forza Horizon 3." The iconic vehicle from "Halo," which is called Warthog, will be one of the cars that players can drive in the upcoming game.

There is a new addition to over 350 vehicles that can be driven in "Forza Horizon 3." Based on reports, game publisher Microsoft Studios has recently unveiled the Warthog. Many fans of the "Halo" franchise will be happy since their wish has finally come true.

The car's full model name is the 2554 AMG Transport Dynamics M12S Warthog CST. The vehicle sports a 720 bhp twin turbo v8 engine and the design of the vehicle is good for the rocky and mountainous terrains of the game.

Furthermore, the Warthog has a torque of 855 ft/lbs at 3200 rpm and its top speed is 119 mph. According to Gamespot, it can also go from 0 to 60 mph at 3.7 seconds, and it can also take 9.81 seconds for it to reach 100 mph.

HaloWaypoint was also able to speak to Chris Phillips from Playground Games, the developers of "Forza Horizon 3." He shared how they were able to replicate the Warthog and place it in the game. He mentioned, "Normally we replicate cars that already exist; we research the car thoroughly, including getting detailed information from manufacturers directly, this is then used to implement the car as accurately as possible in game."

Phillips continued explaining, "For the Warthog this data didn't exist, instead we first had to work together to determine how it would function in an everyday Earth environment, something that we have never really had to consider before."

Moreover, the latest installment of "Forza Horizon" will showcase 350 drivable vehicles. Those cars will not only just be collected by the players, but they will also be able to customize them. The main location of the game will be in Australia and it will feature various challenging terrains.

"Forza Horizon 3" is set to come out on September 27 and it will be available for Xbox One and the PC.
