'Frozen 2' spoilers, updates: Kristen Bell talks about sequel to Jimmy Kimmel, says she hopes to record soon

(Facebook/DisneyFrozen)Kristen Bell revealed that they're still waiting for the sequel's script.

"Frozen" might have been released three years ago, but it still has the world enthralled as fans wait for the sequel to be released.

It's inevitable that the voices behind "Frozen's" lovable characters — Idina Menzel (Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff), and Josh Gad (Olaf) — would always be asked for updates regarding "Frozen 2."

The good news is that they seem to be willing to share whatever it is that they know about the highly anticipated sequel. The bad news is that they don't have much to share.

During last month's AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards gala, Menzel revealed to E! that they're still at the story writing stage of the project. She also jokingly said that she's in the sequel, unless "Elsa falls off an ice cliff and she dies in the first five minutes."

There are a lot of rumors about what "Frozen 2's" plot would be about and one of the more persistent ones is about Elsa dying, probably while saving Anna or her kingdom. However, it's unlikely that the Queen of Arendelle will be kicking the bucket anytime soon.

Kristen Bell also shared some updates with Jimmy Kimmel recently. The actress was a recent guest on the talk show, and when asked about "Frozen 2," Bell admitted that they "haven't started recording."

"We're just waiting to get our hands on the script," Bell said. "They take a lot of time over there to just perfect it. It has to go through a lot of development to make sure it's exactly the story that needs to be told."

However, the "Veronica Mars" star did say that she hopes they "start recording soon."

"Frozen 2" does have some pretty big shoes to fill and producers had previously said that they want the sequel to carry a really positive message for young people.
