The sequel to the hugely-popular "Frozen" movie is already in the works, and a report is suggesting three major plot points that fans should expect in the upcoming film.

Actress and Broadway star Idina Menzel, who voiced the Frozen character, Elsa, has confirmed that a sequel to the movie is already in the works. Though the details surrounding the second movie are not confirmed, it is certain that the characters will remain, as revealed by directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee in a report by Cinema Blend.

"I think the characters are very rich, [and] I think there are other stories left to tell," said one of the directors, as quoted by The Latin Post.

Aside from a darker turn, the film's main cast Idina Menzel (Elsa) and Kristen Bell (Anna), will also most likely return for the sequel.

With this in mind, it is being theorized that the sequel will take its cue from the real Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale called "The Snow Queen." In the original fairy tale, the story has a quite dark nature, and the sequel is expected to take a similar turn. Movie Pilot has listed several plot points that could appear in the sequel.

Movie Pilot reported that there could be an evil troll that has a power to make everyone see the good and ugly versions of everything through a magic mirror. When the mirror gets broken into tiny little pieces, the shards will get into the hearts and minds of people in the land of Arendalle, and the people will only see the ugly, bad things in the world.

The report also stated that a Snow Queen will be present in the sequel, and she will be responsible for many kidnappings of children in the area. The queen is also called the leader of the "snow bees," and kidnaps a lead character called Kai. Kai is the best friend of Gerda, another lead character who goes on a quest to save Kai.
