There have been rumors circulating on the Internet for the past weeks that Elsa will die in "Frozen 2" and Anna will assume the throne that Elsa will leave following her death.

Apparently, the rumor that Elsa will die in "Frozen 2" stemmed from an interview of Entertainment Weekly with Idina Menzel, who lent her voice to the Disney character Elsa in the first "Frozen" film shown in 2013.

"We are at story writing and they're working on it and I think I'm in it. That's all I know — unless maybe Elsa falls off an ice cliff and she dies in the first five minutes," Menzel joked.

Now that the source of the rumor has been identified, it goes without saying that there is no veracity to the report that the Ice Queen will die. Reading between the lines of Menzel, the script for the movie isn't done yet, and production is yet to start.

As of this writing, various rumors about how "Frozen 2" will pan out have misled its anticipating fans into believing them. However, there is no denying that the rumor claiming Elsa will be a lesbian and will have a lover in "Frozen 2" has been the most controversial ever. It even got the fans engaged in a Twitter war, with those for it tweeted their choice with a hashtag followed by "give Elsa a girlfriend." Those who are not in favor of the idea, though, countered it with a hashtag "give Elsa a prince charming."

When asked to comment on the clamor of those who want to turn Elsa into a lesbian in the upcoming "Frozen" sequel, Menzel did not prevent her thoughts from reaching her tongue.

"I think it's great... Disney's just gotta contend with that. I'll let them figure that out," she told Entertainment Tonight.

As of this writing, there is no official announcement yet as to when "Frozen 2" will arrive in theaters.
