(Fujifilm)

Fujifilm has introduced the X70 premium compact digital camera. The X70 is the smallest and lightest model in the X-Series lineup. The X70 still delivers all the exciting features of the X-Series but comes in a compact and easy to use package.

The Fujifilm X70 produces high-quality and detailed images using the new FUJINON 18.5 mm F2.8 lens. This lens configuration allows users to shoot a wide range of photos, from landscapes to portraits. It still maintains the optical design of the X100T but comes in a much more compact design.

The X70 also features a 16.3 MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor and the EXR Processor II image processing engine. These two features combined deliver sharp and low noise images. With a maximum ISO range of 51,200, users can shoot detailed images even in low light conditions.

In terms of design, the X70 comes with a premium look and has a smooth aluminum body. It is also the lightest X-Series camera, weighing 340 grams. On the top, there is an aperture ring that allows users to adjust aperture in 1/3 stop increments. There is also another dial for exposure adjustment up to ±3 stops.

For casual shooting, there is the Auto Mode Switch lever. When turned on, the camera automatically selects the optimal settings that will produce the best images.

The Fujifilm X70 is also the first camera in the X-Series lineup to feature a touchscreen monitor. It comes with a 3-inch LCD display with 1.04 million dot pixels. During shooting, functions include Touch Shot and Focus Area Selection. During playback, the display comes with smartphone-like functionality so users can swipe, double tap, drag and pinch photos. The touchscreen display also rotates 180 degrees so users can frame shots from above or down low. The rotating display also makes it easier to take selfies.

The digital camera comes with Wi-Fi so images can be easily transferred to other smartphone or tablet devices. The camera can also be remotely controlled using the free Fujifilm Camera Remote app.

The Fujifilm X70 camera will go on sale starting February 2016. It is priced at $699.95.
