Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., is not by no means ready to hand 2014 over to Apple, Inc., as the company plans to launch two more iPhone 6 killers by Q4 this year – lining up the Galaxy Note 4 vs Note Edge.

In a Note 4 vs Note Edge comparison, specs and features of the two new Galaxy smartphones are almost identical, but it is in the design category that the biggest differences appear.

Note Edge sports a 5.6-inch Quad HD with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 2.7 GHz Quad-core processor, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory. 3.7 MP front-facing camera, 16 MP rear-facing camera and runs on Android KitKat 4.4.

The slightly bigger Note 4 has a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED 2560 x 1440 display, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory, 7 MP front-facing camera, 16 MP rear-facing camera.

When it comes to design, Note Edge takes the "revolutionary" trail with its borderless aesthetics that offers expanded space.

On the other hand, Note 4 concentrates on style and comfort, with superior grip soft-textured back cover.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is scheduled to hit store shelves on Oct. 17, with pre-orders on-going.

Already, however, it has been plagued with intrigues including the alleged "GapGate" issue.

The same group that started the "BendGate" issue with iPhone 6, Unbox Therapy, has revealed that the side metallic rim of Galaxy Note 4 is wide enough to slip a piece of paper.

The South Korean tech superpower however was quick to respond.

"The reported issue does not impact the functionality or quality of the Galaxy Note 4. We assure our customers that all Galaxy Note 4 units meet our strict manufacturing and quality control standards," the Samsung statement read.

The high-end Note 4 is pitched as the iPhone 6 Plus killer, while Note Edge is expected to reach a new group of consumers.
