It might not have been the end for the characters that were killed off in the first four seasons of 'Game of Thrones.' Reports suggest that there will be flashbacks in season 5, and some of those flashbacks might feature the deceased characters and cast.

The showrunners behind the renowned HBO series, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, confirmed in an event in Spain (Spanish) that this season will indeed feature flashbacks.

"Making the first season, we set a rule: No prophecies, dreams, or flashbacks. We already failed the first two, and this season we broke the third. So yes, this season will finally have flashbacks," the producers said, according to reporting by USA Today.

Entertainment Weekly previously reported that the first episode of the upcoming fourth season will show a flashback that will show a major character who has been killed off.

Earlier in September, Charles Dance, who plays the ruthless Tywin Lannister, teased that his character might return.

"I'm not completely missing out on the next series," Dance told MTV UK, while promoting his movie, Dracula Untold.

"You haven't seen the last of Tywin Lannister," the actor added. This might mean that Tywin might be seen in one of the flashbacks.

Game of Thrones has already started shooting in Alcázar Palace in Seville early last week. The production is expected to move to Osuna, and will also return to Belfast, Northern Ireland and Dubrovnik, Croatia.
