'Game of Thrones' season 7 spoilers, plot rumors: Sophie Turner, Alfie Allen talk what's next for characters

(Facebook/GameofThrones)Sophie Turner teases what's next for Sansa Stark in the upcoming season of "Game of Thrones."

"Game of Thrones" won't return to television screens until summer 2017, but fans are already excited about what the new season may bring. Also, fans aren't the only ones looking forward to season 7 as Sophie Turner confesses that she is also excited about the next chapter in the HBO fantasy series.

Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, spoke to Entertainment Weekly recently and teased what the upcoming season has in store for her character.

She's seemingly in control for the first time — and it really suits her," she said. "She's kind of having a bit of a power trip. But she's also becoming more insecure, because there are threats to the power that she holds."

It can be recalled that Sansa arrived back home toward the end of season 6 and was finally reunited with Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington. However, it was apparent in her eyes that there was something new troubling the eldest Stark daughter when she sat next to Jon at Winterfell.

With Sansa and Jon reunited, fans can expect that more characters will see each other again, as well as encounter one another for the first time.

"What overall excites me about this season is that main characters are coming together and it feels like things are ramping up," Turner continued. "It's really exciting and all feels like it's coming to a big conclusion."

As for the man who helped Sansa escape the wretched clutches of Ramsay Bolton, it remains to be seen if he will see Sansa and Jon again since season 6 last left him in the allegiance of Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke.

If Theon were to meet Jon again, though, actor Alfie Allen knows what his character would feel. "I would say, [Theon] would feel horrible. He'd feel awful. And he'd see it as a chance to redeem himself," Allen said at the Malta India Fan Convention, reports Watchers on the Wall.

He also teased that Theon is going to be "skittish and full of fear...Basically, and then that can kind of, I guess, evolve into rage, which you might see...who knows?"

Fans will have to wait a while before they can see all their favorite characters again as "Game of Thrones" season 7 does not have a set release date yet.
