The fifth season of HBO's 'Game of Thrones' is almost upon us and the show's cast and crew are ramping up their marketing efforts as the show's release date nears. While fans of George R.R. Martin's novels won't be too surprised at what happens in the new season (as it will be based on the fourth and fifth novels) there should be plenty of awesome moments in store for most viewers.

As reported in this article at The Hollywood Reporter, actress Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) revealed that the fifth season will feature plenty of dragons, which should no doubt up the ante as these mythical beasts are among the most fearsome creatures ever created. News of the dragons should come as no surprise as a poster released earlier this month featured Tyrion Lannister gazing at a large dragon flying in the horizon. Still, that doesn't make this news all the less exciting as dragons are always a welcome addition in any fantasy setting.

With regards to the fate of Daenerys's dragons Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal from the previous season, Clarke teased that it will all be explained soon. "It's a dragon season, so they are definitely making a couple of appearances. I've lost one, so we'll have to see if I can find him again," she said.

In other news, actor Peter Dinklage also spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the role of his character Tyrion Lannister. Dinklage indicated that The Imp will be looking to regain his footing in the upcoming season following a tumultuous set of events in the previous one.

"He has to find his footing again. He doesn't care about much of anything when you see him at the start. He has to find his mojo once more, and Varys helps him down that road," he said.

The fifth season of 'Game of Thrones' first airs on April 12, 2015.
