'Gilmore Girls' spoilers: Will Paris and Doyle still be together?

(Facebook/GilmoreGirls)Paris returns in "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life."

Rory's (Alexis Bledel) sarcastic friend, Paris (Liza Weil), is returning in the upcoming Netflix revival of "Gilmore Girls." Will she still be with her longtime boyfriend, Doyle (Danny Strong)?

It has been revealed previously that Weil will be reprising her role as the sharp and domineering Paris Geller. She and Keiko Agena, who played Rory's other bestfriend, Lane, will both be in the November four-part special. Paris, who was initially Rory's nemesis at Chilton, became her friend when they were in Yale. It was a love-hate relationship until the end, but the viewers cannot deny that they complement each other well. Rory's sunny personality has been a good antithesis to Paris' gloom.

While in college, Paris met Doyle, the editor of Yale Daily News. They met at a blind date and soon started going out. Doyle was the perfect match for Paris, since he seemed to be able to handle her worst moods. Paris tried to break up with him a couple of times, but they still got together at the end. When the show ended in 2007, the pair was still together. Is it possible that Paris married Doyle and that they already have kids in the revival? Paris is not really motherhood material, but the Palladinos may be setting up a surprise with her storyline.

Meanwhile, Weil told E! News that she was worried about reprising her role in "Gilmore Girls" since the fans know her now as Bonnie Winterbottom, Annalise Keating's (Viola Davis) right-hand woman in the ABC series "How to Get Away with Murder." As Bonnie, Weil's character has many secrets, completely the opposite of the straightforward Paris. She said though that the executive producers did a good job re-establishing her old character.

"But I will say that Amy and Dan's writing, it just really does the trick for me. Paris is so alive in that writing and it's just very, very different from Bonnie. It was actually a very welcome sort of respite from Bonnie. It felt nice to be a little bit more broad and all of those Paris Geller-y things," Weil shared.

"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" will air Nov. 25 on Netflix.
