While Disney has yet to air the final two episodes of "Girl Meets World" season 2, the cast and crew have already begun production on the third season of the hit teen series.

According to the official Twitter account of the "Girl Meets World" writers, the first table read for season 3 happened last Jan. 27 and the first episode was recorded last Feb. 2.

Season 3 of "Girl Meets World" will open with a two-part episode titled "Girl Meets High School." Judging from the episode title alone, season 3 will follow Riley, Maya and their friends as they embark on new adventures as they enter a completely different environment.

While more specific details for season 3 have yet to surface, viewers can look to the final season 2 episodes to learn more about storylines that may continue until the next season.

In "Girl Meets the Bay Window," Riley is beginning to prepare for high school. She decides that it's time to redecorate her window to reflect the new phase in her life. Unfortunately, Maya is against the decision and as their special spot, she is adamant against Riley changing it.

Then, the season 2 finale "Girl Meets Legacy" will be focused on the students' graduation. Based on compiled spoilers obtained from audience members, the finale is said to be a very important episode for Rucas and Lucaya. Could it be that viewers will finally see a resolution to the love triangle between Riley, Maya and Lucas? It is also likely that the finale will end in a cliffhanger and the love triangle will be resolved in the season 3 premiere.

Season 3 will also see Smackle joining the same high school as the gang. Actors Ashley Argota, Luke Benward and Claudia Lee have also been cast as new characters joining the upcoming season.

Stay tuned for the latest news and updates on season 3 of "Girl Meets World."

"Girl Meets the Bay Window" and "Girl Meets Legacy" will air on Feb. 19 and March 11, respectively, at 8:30 p.m. ET on the Disney Channel.

Season 3 of "Girl Meets World" will premiere sometime later this Spring.
