There are not much details given about the fourth installment of the "God of War" franchise, but the length of the campaign may possibly be long.

It has already been a long time since a new "God of War" title was released and this is why fans got really excited when the fourth installment of the franchise was unveiled during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). However, after the event, not many details were released about the upcoming game, and it seems Sony is still keeping it under wraps.

According to reports, the director of the game, Cory Barlog, answered a fan's inquiry on Twitter. The fan, who goes by the name "Cult of Personality" and has a Twitter username "AllRageNoRelent," asked: "@corybarlog One question and one question only. Will the campaign minus collectibles last at least 20 hours ? Needs to be lengthy."

Barlog replied by tweeting, "@AllRageNoRelent hard to know the actual runtime until we are done."

So it seems that there is still no new information with regards to the length of the campaign. Some fans are speculating that it will take possibly more than 100 hours. However, 100-plus hours may be too much to just finish the campaign.

As mentioned in reports, there is a new battle system that will be involved in "God of War 4" since Kratos will not be alone anymore. The main character will be joined by his son in his new journey. The action of the game will still be fast-paced but it may require players to have a good sense of teamwork between the father and his son.

It is also expected that another side of Kratos will be shown in the latest installment. There are speculations that he will be kinder and more sympathetic in this game since his son is now involved.

There is no exact release date yet for "God of War IV," but it is expected to be launched during the fall of 2017.
