A post on Google's blog site announced that Chromecast is now available in 11 more countries, and still growing. The new countries are U.K., Sweden, Spain, Norway, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, France, Finland, Denmark and Canada.

Since Chromecast was announced in the U.S., it has grown to include more of consumers favorite websites and apps. Thanks to Chromecast: superheroes, fearless reporters, pop icons, cliff divers, your favorite sports idol, or whomever you would like to watch, can be brought to your TV set.

Aside from familiar apps such as Google Play Music, Google Play Movies and YouTube, Chromecast is working with local providers to provide content and bring more of the shows and movies you love. Apps will soon start on rolling out.

The U.K. currently has BBC iPlayer; France – SFR TV and France TV Pluzz, with CANALPLAY coming soon; and Germany has Watchever and Maxdome is coming.

So, no need huddle around your laptop to watch your favorite detective character solve a crime, or get caught up in dramas; instead cast your show on TV and watch on the big screen together with family and friends.

Chromecast has been improving since it opened to developers, with over 3,000 signing in from all over the world to bring their websites and apps to Chromecast. Very soon, there will be more movies, TV shows, sports, games and music to choose from.

If you are in one of the 11 newly added countries, look for Chromecast at any of the following retailers: Amazon, Currys PC World, FNAC, Google Play, Media Markt, Saturn and others.
