While it has yet to be confirmed, the rumor claiming that Google is set to release two smartphones soon is becoming more persistent with each passing day. If the rumors hold true, gadget fans may be soon treated to two Google Nexus mobile devices made by HTC: the Marlin and the Sailfish.

According to reports, the said mobile devices from Google Nexus are expected to be released this November, and not between the period between September and October as rumored earlier. Allegedly, the Marlin and the Sailfish will be released along with another anticipated Google Nexus device, the Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet.

If rumors turn out to be true, the Google Nexus Marlin will be bigger than the Sailfish as, reportedly, it will sport a 5.5-inch screen size with an AMOLED display capable. It is also said that the device will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of built-in memory, and the Android 7.0 Nougat.

On the other hand, the Sailfish is said to be half an inch smaller than the Marlin in terms of screen size and will also come with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Like the Marlin, it is also said that it will pack the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.

Both devices are said to come with 12-megapixel rear camera with OIS coupled with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for better selfies. And since both devices will packed 3,450 mAh battery, would-be users of the device can expect them to charge faster.

Having the same set of specs and features, it is obvious that the basic difference between the two Google Nexus smartphones is their respective sizes.

It has also been learned that the upcoming devices will no longer use the Nexus logo as, allegedly, the Marlin and the Sailfish will bear the G logo of Google.

However, without any confirmation from Google just yet, everything said about the Google Nexus smartphones at this point in time has to be taken with a grain of salt.
