As the purported launching of Google's next devices in its "Google Nexus" series looms, the devices' specifications and features have also become predictably available to its loyal fans and spectators alike. But all of these remain up in the air until the company announces them officially.

If the leaks are to be believed, the next flagship devices from the "Google Nexus" series may very well be the real killers in the smartphone industry. A new image has surfaced recently indicating the actual look of the HTC-made "Marlin" device. The image has shown the device's screen and usage of Android's imminent operating system. Also shown is the device's latest security patches from Google on July 5.

Meanwhile, the reported successor to the "Nexus 6P" is now speculated to being armored with an improvised design which will have a new metal and glass chassis. The seventh installment of the "Google Nexus" series will also be sporting a large glass piece on the back surface. The device is also expected to be featuring a sleek and slimmer design as compared to its earlier iterations.

Reports have already surfaced that the next device will be packing quite a number of sure-fire features. Parts of its showcase are a massive 5.5-inch 2K AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 4 GB of random access memory, a 12-megapixel rear camera, an 8-MP front-facing camera, a rear fingerprint sensor, the traditional headphone jack and an enduring 3450 mAh battery.

The follow-up device on the "Google Nexus" series is slated to be launched in September 2016 or as soon as the "Android Nougat" gets underway officially.
