Google Nexus 7 (2016) vs Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 specs comparison: Which one has better RAM and storage?

(Google)This year's tablet from the "Nexus" series, which will succeed the Nexus 9 (shown in photo), may feature Google's 7th operating system "Android Nougat."

With several devices expected to release soon, such as the Google Nexus 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, it may be hard to know which ones will be worth buying.

Since there have been reports that Google could be releasing the new Google tablet alongside its upcoming installment of smartphones, many are curious as to how it will stack up compared to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3.

It is believed that Google will most likely drop its Nexus brand for both smartphones and tablet. Instead, they could unveil a new brand for the product lines named "Pixel." This is due to the reports stating that leaks of the smartphones showed no Nexus branding.

As for the specs, the upcoming Google tablet could boast a RAM of 4 gigabytes, with a starting storage of 64 gigabytes. The device is expected to be expandable to up to 2 terabytes with the use of a microSD card.

In contrast, the new Galaxy Tab S3 could utilize Samsung's recently released 10nm 6 gigabytes RAM chip, which can surely enhance the performance of the device. The storage space could start at 32 gigabytes with the option of an expandable storage as well.

The new Samsung tablet could also use up the latest Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 820, which will give the device a clock-rate of 2.3 GHz. In addition, it will include a LPDDR4 dual-channel memory that can boost the tablet's processing.

For the Google device, many expect the device to use the Android Nougat. In addition, it is also said to include an energy saver app titled Doze and Dream. This will also make the new tablet compatible for virtual reality.

With that, many are looking forward to the release of both devices. Unfortunately, the two companies have yet to announce official details regarding the new products. Though the new Google Nexus 7 is said to launch this Oct. 4, fans will have to wait for more news regarding the new tablets.
