Google Nexus 7 could arrive during Google event in May as Nexus 9 retires

(www.google.com)Google Nexus 7 rumored to arrive this month as Nexus 9 (pictured) is taken off the Google store.

The rumors of a new tablet being released by Google have been heating up lately. This particular rumor has been circulating partially due to the fact that Google has removed an existing tablet from its online store and could be prepping for the launch of the Nexus 7.

According to reports, Google Store, which has been churning out a number of devices in the "Nexus" lineup, has "unceremoniously" removed the Nexus 9 tablet from its online store. Reports further describe how the Nexus 9 tablet is the worst among the Nexus lineup and so it is no surprise that Google has finally decided to get rid of it. The removal of the Nexus 9 from the Google Store could mean that the company is revamping its tablet lineup and concentrating on other better-quality devices.

As the Nexus 9 was removed from the online store, a number of rumors started to emerge that Google is planning to bring out a new tablet in the form of the Nexus 7. Importantly, there are rumors that the company has taken the Nexus 9 offline just before the Google I/O event, which is due to fall between May 18 and 20 this year, as a new tablet will be making its appearance. This particular new tablet is expected to be the Nexus 7 and it has popped up in a number of rumors that indicate it coming with the latest Snapdragon 820 chipset. As for the RAM on the device, it is expected to be 4 GB and the battery to be a 3000 mAh version.

Currently, Google has only one tablet available for sale and it is the Pixel C, which was released last year. This particular tablet has a better build than the previous models in the Nexus lineup and comes with a metal body, while the Nexus 9 has a plastic back, which was prone to bending.
