It has been awhile since GoPro has released a new model, and there are rumors that their latest product may be released before 2016 ends. The new GoPro Hero 5 will feature a huge improvement as its capacity in taking videos has been upgraded.

Based on reports, it is speculated that the latest GoPro camera will be capable of shooting videos in high resolution. The highest resolution that it can record will be 4K and this will be followed by 2.7K and 1140p. In terms of frames per second (FPS), the highest it can offer is up to 120 fps, but there are other settings as well, such as 80fps, 60fps, and 30 fps.

If it's recording capabilities is not enough to satisfy the user, there are rumors that the camera will be waterproof. According to reports, it may not need any additional protection anymore when being used underwater. However, its waterproof capacity may only be limited to up to 60 meters underwater. The previous GoPro Session had the same feature, but in terms of recording, it was not as powerful as the GoPro Hero 5.

There will also be an improvement for the interface of the latest model since adjusting the settings of the device will not be as complicated as with the previous cameras.

Another expected feature for the GoPro Hero 5 is that GPS will now be included. It is also speculated that it will be able to connect to the Wi-Fi. With this, connecting the device to a laptop may not be needed anymore since users may share their videos and pictures instantly. Another possibility is the inclusion of LTE to the camera where users can use a SIM card and this would not require Wi-FI.

Based on reports, the battery life of the latest model will last 150 percent longer than the batteries of the previous GoPro cameras since it may carry a 2800 mAh battery. This will allow the people to have a longer usage for the device.

There is no exact release date yet for the GoPro Hero 5, but it is expected that new details will be given around October or November 2016.
