GoPro Hero 5 release date rumors: action-camera to release in time for the holidays this year, to be bundled with Karma

(Facebook/GoPro)GoPro is rumored to release its Hero 5 and Karma as a bundle later this year.

After one delay after another, gadget and GoPro camera fans may finally lay their hands on the newest and most connected GoPro camera, GoPro Hero 5, as rumor about it getting released later this year becomes louder and louder with each passing day.

According to various reports, it is highly possible for GoPro Hero 5 to be released at the latter part of the year, just in time for holidays. As if this piece of news weren't enough for GoPro fans to jubilate, it is also strongly speculated that it will arrive as a bundle with another GoPro device, the brand's first-ever drone, Karma.

Rumor has it that the decision to release GoPro Hero 5 as a bundle with Karma is GoPro's way of appeasing the fans who have been disappointed with its several release delays. However, even if GoPro Hero 5 will not be sold as a bundle with Karma, its rumored features alone are enough to leave the fans in awe.

Reportedly, GoPro Hero 5 boasts of a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that will improve its ability to capture photos and videos much faster. It is also believed that the device can record up to 8K resolution at 30fps and 4K at 60fps.

While the rumor about GoPro Hero 5 to be bundled with Karma gets louder with each passing day, it remains uncertain if it will also be sold as a separate device. However, in the event that it will come exclusive with Karma, fans can expect to unload a hefty amount of cash for the upcoming GoPro devices.

Despite paying a high price for the GoPro Hero 5 and Karma bundle, though, it is speculated that it will be all worth the price. While it is not confirmed, Karma may just be the first-of-its-kind drone. If speculations are to be believed, Karma may be based on a design that leaked online.

Patent Yogi floats the possibility that GoPro's Karma may be inspired by the design of an engineer named Ryan Goldstein, who submitted the design for patenting prior to his employment with GoPro. If the design of Karma is, indeed, based on the design of Goldstein, then, it will really be different from other drones as, at first look, it looks nothing more than a rectangular box. However, once the parts kept inside the box are stretched out, a rectangular-shaped drone forms.

While these speculations on GoPro Hero 5 and Karma are nothing short of being impressive, fans can only hope that they are, indeed, true and will come out just in time for the holiday season.
