GoPro Hero 5 release date this year; to be bundled with Karma?

(Facebook/GoPro)GoPro is rumored to release GoPro Hero 5 later this year.

Although adventure seekers and gadget aficionados expected GoPro to release its latest camera, GoPro Hero 5, last year, they are still yet to lay their hands on the latest device as it is yet to be released. However, the wait may be finally over as it is rumored that GoPro Hero 5 is finally hitting the store shelves later this year.

According to reports, GoPro Hero 5 will be released after the company's first-ever drone, Karma, comes out later this year. However, even the highly anticipated drone of GoPro has also experienced some pushing back as far as its release is concerned. Originally slated for a release in the first half of this year, GoPro announced through its first quarter report released last month that the Karma will not be released until winter this year.

In the event that GoPro Hero 5 will be released after the GoPro Karma has debuted, then, would it be possible for GoPro to release two devices just weeks apart this winter? Or, would it be possible for the company to release GoPro Hero 5 and the Karma as a bundle, as earlier speculated?

Meanwhile, apart from being rumored to be released later this year, the GoPro Hero 5 is also believed to be aimed at a specific market: the athletic community. Rumor has it that the upcoming GoPro camera will be a lot simpler and smaller than the previous ones in the series. With its small size, it is said to be an all-around camera as its would-be users can easily carry it, making it ideal for the adventure seekers and athletes.

Despite its small size, though, GoPro Hero 5 is believed to deliver amazing results. According to reports, some of the notable features of the upcoming device are its ability to capture 8K resolution at 30 fps and record moments in 4K at 60 fps and 1080 p at 240 fps.

Whether the upcoming GoPro Hero 5 is arriving later this year or not, with its rumored features, it must be worth the wait.
