Hugo Strange's intentions will be revealed in the upcoming finale episode, titled "Wrath of the Villains: Transference," of the second season of the superhero series "Gotham."

Gordon, Bruce, and Lucius are still at the Indian Hill. While they are away from Gotham, the city will be threatened by Hugo Strange's inmates who are brewing a plan to escape from prison. They aim to have a fresh start in their lives in the city.

The promo trailer for "Transference" shows James Gordon being questioned about the person who really controls the city of Gotham. Then, it was revealed to him that there is a secret council that governs the city.

In a sneak preview of the upcoming episode, Harvey tries to make James spill out what he thinks the latter is hiding. Harvery tells James that the people behind the newest case must be pretty heavy for him to back off. Then, he reminds him that he does not want anything dangerous, but he just wants to get excited. Meanwhile, Alfred interrupts the two police officers' conversation as he searches for Bruce and Lucius' whereabouts.

Plus, Jada Pinkett Smith returns as a guest star on the show as Fish Mooney. After the experiments run by Dr. Strange, Fish returns from the dead.

Lucius told Bruce that there is a secret room in Arkham where Strange conducts his experiments on the dead. When they decided to confirm the information, they ended up being captured. They were being interrogated by Nygma and they were asked to confess whatever information they know or they will face death. Gordon, on the other hand, was brought into another room and Strange created a replica of him using another inmate.

"Gotham" season 2 finale airs tonight at 8 p.m. on FOX.
