'Grace and Frankie' season 3 premiere spoilers: Subject of aging to be explored more

(Facebook/GraceandFrankie)"Grace and Frankie" season 2 is now streaming on Netflix.

Netflix has already renewed "Grace and Frankie" for a third season, but fans will have to wait until next year to see the dynamic duo return to the streaming site. Once it resumes, viewers will see more of "the vulnerability of being a certain age."

In an interview with Deadline, co-creator Marta Kauffman shared what fans can expect in the new season. The subject of age and coming to terms with it is going to be explored more in season 3.

"When you think about your mother sitting home alone, some of these things are not things you think about. We're dealing with health and vulnerability and fear, and we're really getting into much more of the specifics about ageing and living alone," Kauffman explained.

Additionally, Kauffman also shared that she would love to direct more episodes in the future. She has directed an episode in the previous season and described what it was like for her. She recalled having a lot of fun doing the job and "loved every minute of it."

Kauffman, who also co-created popular sitcom "Friends," also discussed the idea of bringing the hit comedy show back. However, it doesn't seem like a reunion is ever going to happen. Kauffman also shared that her daughter, Hannah K.S., was the one conceptualized the basic plotline of the show.

In other news, the series' lead stars, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, both expressed their desire to release more than one season per year. While speaking to IndieWire, the two legendary actresses said that they wished to do more seasons annually. "At least two a year," Tomlin chimed.

Filming for "Grace and Frankie" season 3 is currently underway. However, given that season 2 was just released last May 6, fans will have to sit tight for about a year. "Grace and Frankie" season 3 is not scheduled to be released until 2017.
