'Grand Theft Auto 5' rumors: Updates ongoing for online story mode

(Facebook/grandtheftautoV)Rockstar is reportedly set to upgrade the online story mode of "Grand Theft Auto 5."

Rockstar Games may have to forgo plans for "Grand Theft Auto V's" story mode's downloadable content (DLC) to focus on upgrading the content of "Grand Theft Auto Online."

As per Game Rant, developer Rockstar has been neglecting the story mode of "GTA V" and focusing on upgrading "GTA Online." New updates for the online game are reportedly underway and may even run beyond 2020. Some of the revamps will allegedly follow what the game publisher did with "Executives and Other Criminals," but there will also be new ones that players can look forward to. For instance, new maps will allegedly be added, while San Fiero (San Francisco), Las Venturas (Las Vegas), Liberty City (New York City), and Vice City (Miami) will be updated.

The said updates have been reportedly postponed due to the limitations Rockstar faced in the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. If not for the said hurdle, the change would have been done much earlier. By 2017, rumors claim that gamers may finally get to explore North Yankton and Liberty City.

Although Rockstar has yet to comment on the said speculations, Game Zone reports that they all came from a reputable source. The GTA Forum user who is said to have leaked the updates is the same one who posted about the Biker DLC.

The source has allegedly announced the future updates a month before Rockstar's release. In the list, the Biker DLC was ironically the first, just like what the user predicted. Back in 2013, he also leaked new materials before the actual launch of the game. For the past three years, the user is said to have only posted three times, every one of them proven to be true. For instance, many feel that the opening of the casino in Los Santos which is included on the list is likely to happen.

Fans of GTA, however, should take the rumors with a grain of salt, since there is no guarantee that every thing the source has claimed will happen.
