It's a known fact that Rockstar Games' "Grand Theft Auto VI" was a no-show at the recent Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 and fans are wondering why and when can they get their hands on the game's sixth installment. However, there are rumors going around the gaming world that the said game might be released a couple of years from now.

The "Grand Theft Auto" franchise has been one of the best-selling games of all time, and it has made a massive fanbase that every time an installment of the game is released, copies of the game, regardless of the platform the user owns, sell like pancakes.

As earlier reported, the most probable release date for a new "Grand Theft Auto" would be in 2018 since the game developer has the habit of having a long-period hiatus in making another "Grand Theft Auto" game. A good example for this long break is the timeline between "Grand Theft Auto III" and "Grand Theft Auto IV" that took almost a decade for the former to be replaced by the latter.

Meanwhile, there are reports that some PC gamers were able to play an alleged "Grand Theft Auto VI" game and the news spread like wildfire over gamers who are on social media.

Fans, on the other hand, are already guessing what the next "Grand Theft Auto" will look like.

There are rumors that the sixth "Grand Theft Auto" will be set outside the United States. It was hinted over three years ago by Rockstar Games' vice president for creativity, Dan Houser.

Furthermore, some also speculate that the main character for the next "Grand Theft Auto" will be a woman and will be voiced by a famous Hollywood celebrity.

Having these said, it seems that fans will just have to wait for a couple of years or more for another "Grand Theft Auto" title be released in the market.
