With "Grand Theft Auto V" having been released back in 2013, it seems that fans of the franchise are ready for a brand new release.

Many are eagerly anticipating the release of "Grand Theft Auto VI."

Unfortunately, Rockstar Games have not made any official announcements regarding "Grand Theft Auto VI."

According to Rockstar president, Leslie Benzies, "We're got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do. We don't know what 'GTA6' will be, but we've got some ideas," he said.

In an earlier interview with Digital Trends, Benzies also mentioned the possibility of linking together all the different cities from all the "Grand Theft Auto" games. "Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all out cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas," he said.

Based on the release patterns of previous "Grand Theft Auto" installments, fans have speculated that "Grand Theft Auto VI" may be released sometime in 2018.

With the projected release date three years away, as well as no official announcements from Rockstar, it seems that fans will be waiting for quite some time.

While Rockstar has remained quiet on this matter, fans on the other hand, have been very vocal about what features they want to see in the upcoming game.

Female Protagonist

When "Grand Theft Auto V" was released, head writer, Dan Houser, mentioned that there was no organic opportunity to integrate a female lead character. "We haven't found the right game for it yet, but its one of the things we always think about. It didn't feel natural for this game, but definitely for the right game in the future – with the right themes, it could be fantastic," Houser said.

Hopefully, Rockstar will be able to integrate a female protagonist into the upcoming game.

Customized Gameplay

Customization is one of the key features of video game releases this past year.

Players want to be able to customize both their character and their vehicles.

Players look forward to being able to tweak their appearance and clothes. Fans also want to see more variety in vehicle choices, as well as being able to add modifications to their vehicles.

Hopefully, when Rockstar finally releases "Grand Theft Auto VI," they will be able to integrate a vast number of new features and upgrades to reward the fans who have been waiting patiently for its release.

It is likely that the upcoming "Grand Theft Auto VI" will be released for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
