'Grey's Anatomy' season 11 spoilers: Callie has an amazing surgery while Stephanie develops a crush in episode 18

(ABC)

"Grey's Anatomy", Shonda Rhimes' brainchild, concluded its nail-biting episode 17 where fans prayed that Derek wasn't cheating on Meredith. Now that the handsome McDreamy is back, what other interesting stories are brewing at the Grey Sloan Memorial hospital?

In episode 18 titled "When I Grow Up", Callie will do a great surgery on a police captain named Jack, reports WetPaint. Moreover, the hospital will host a school field trip that takes a dramatic turn when the kids witness two injured cops enter the emergency room. Looks like it's time for some emergency room action. TVLine reports that actor Kevin Alejandro of "Southland" and "The Returned" fame will play the police captain Jack whose leg Callie will operate on. Although the actor is slated only for one guest appearance, there is room for a recurring role.

As per the episode's synopsis, Stephanie develops a crush on one of the chaperones on the school field trip. Star Taylor John Smith of "Hawaii Five-0" fame essays the role of the said chaperone. Fans can definitely expect some Stephanie drama this episode.

Meanwhile, Amelia must face her feelings for Owen. But viewers should stock up on those tissue boxes for episode 20, likely to air on April 16, as per the show's schedule. Why is this episode so special? As per CaterMatt's reports, this particular episode will see doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial treating victims of a plane crash as an airplane crashes in Seattle. This is the second time an episode has dealt with a plane crash since Lexie Grey and Mark Sloan's death.

Episode 20 will most likely provide flashbacks of the character's previous plane crash. What is interesting is that, although this episode is dramatic, it isn't a finale, which indicates that the final episode will be much more fascinating and intense. Watch "Grey's Anatomy" season 11 episode 18 on ABC on April 2 at 8 p.m. ET.
