Fans of the long-running ABC drama, 'Grey's Anatomy,' will have to hold on to their seats as the series' season 11 takes a month-long mid-season break and will return on Jan. 29, 2015.

Now that things are getting heated between Meredith, Derek, and Maggie, fans hardly want to miss a moment of the show's much-loved (and hated) characters.

The show's latest episode called "Risk" revealed dark secrets about the main characters, and what happens upon the show's return will definitely be more revealing.

Risk showed how Amelia was recognized by the family of a patient who revealed that she was involved in a risky case of substance abuse in the past. This left Amelia's image in the hospital damaged, and could affect both future and past relationships with her colleagues.

The family of the patient then demanded for a different doctor to care for the patient, and Richard comforts Amelia during this trying time.

Derek has always been disturbed about Amelia taking over the HOD position in the neurosurgery department, and this only makes their relationship even more complicated. Derek's resentment on Amelia urged him to make a decision to tell on her.

Meanwhile, Maggie and Meredith try to patch things up between the two of them as they try to cure and save a couple who was badly injured after attempting to escape a burning building.
