The upcoming episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will see Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) finding out that she is pregnant.
A promo trailer has been released for the fifth episode of the season and it teases Amelia being late on her menstrual cycle. And according to her, "I'm never late. Never." She tells her colleagues and they congratulate her. But then it soon becomes clear that she may be jumping to conclusions because she hasn't even taken a pregnancy test yet. "I hugged you and you haven't even peed on a stick yet?" Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) points out. She is then giddily asking Owen (Kevin McKidd) if they can talk as she is clearly planning on telling him about the pregnancy.
However, the synopsis of the new episode, titled "Both Sides Now," simply states that Amelia will have a hard time telling Owen "some important news." It is unclear whether this is pertaining to her pregnancy or some other crucial detail.
Fans have speculated in the comments section of the teaser clip that there may be more to it than what meets the eye. Some have pointed out that, in true dramatic fashion, Amelia may not be pregnant and may discover that she is unable to conceive.
Others have said that Owen may admit to Amelia that he's not ready to have children after he is tasked with babysitting baby Harriet. However, these are all just theories, so fans should take these with a grain of salt.
Meanwhile, Meredith and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) will find themselves in conflict when they discover that both of their parents are in need of a liver transplant. Owen will also find it difficult to babysit Harriet, so he asks the other doctors for assistance.
What will Amelia tell Owen? Find out on the next episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13. The show airs Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC.
