'Grimm' season 6 spoilers: Wu embraces powerful transformation

(Facebook/NBCGrimm)Wu becomes powerful in "Grimm" season 6.

Drew Wu's (Reggie Lee) transformation will be of great help to the Scooby Gang in the fight for survival in the upcoming season of "Grimm."

Fans of the series were worried when the police officer became a non-Wesen lycanthrope last installment. Wu was scratched in the leg by a werewolf in one of the raids. Soon after, he showed alarming signs of turning into one. There were times he could not remember where he was and what he did and it made his friends worry.

One time, Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) and Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) found him covered in the blood of the Black Claw minion he presumably killed. They asked Monroe's wife, Rosalee Calvert (Bree Turner), to check on him.

Rosalee found out that Wu had turned into a lycanthrope. He was not entirely Wesen, though. Because he was an unknown creature, she could not help him.

In a previous interview with Showbiz Junkies, Lee talked about what is in store for his character in the final season. He said he breathed a sigh of relief that Wu would not turn into a villain. Because of his new powers, he would prove to be a useful member of Team Grimm. His help is really needed, considering the monumental task Nick has in order to bring back peace to Portland.

"For me as the actor I felt a lot more power. Which for Wu I think is a really great thing because he's always felt like probably the underling that's kind of, 'Do this. Do that,' even though he's a sergeant. He is the kind of on the managerial side of it all, so this has been great to actually be a part of the team and be useful," Lee said.

Meanwhile, Bitsie Tulloch, who plays Juliette Silverton/Eve, recently shared (according to IB Times) a behind-the-scenes photo and video in the set. In both, she talked about the unexpected snow that quickly turned into a whiteout during one of their shoots.

Many fans are looking forward to the show's return to find out who will end up with Nick. Aside from Juliette, Adalind Schade (Claire Coffee) is a strong contender, but her complicated relationship with Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz) poses a huge problem.

"Grimm" season 6 will return on Jan. 6, 2017, 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
