A lot of fans are still waiting for the third installment of "Half Life," but there has not been official details yet about the title. However, there are speculations that "Half Life 3" will feature the Kraken base and there'll be new terrains players will be allowed to explore.

As mentioned in MobiPicker, "Half Life 3" may include the Kraken Base from the second "Half Life" game. Instead of being part of the iconic train scene, it was supposed to show up at the very start of the game. The location was also expected be part of the original game but it was cut from it.

Furthermore, the latest installment may also include a new kind of terrain that will allow gamers to explore underwater. In order to reach the new location of the video game, players must use a submarine to access it. There are also speculations that the plot of the title may also revolve inside the Kraken Base for some time.

As for the characters, it is rumored that Doctor Helena Mossman may be the main antagonist and she will betray the research team, putting them in danger. Gordon may also be present in the third installment and he will also experience the aftermath of Mossman's betrayal. However, these details are yet to be confirmed once the developer, Valve, is able to announce official information regarding "Half Life 3."

There are also suggestions that Valve will be collaborating with HTC in order to produce the HTC Vive which is a virtual reality (VR) headset. This indicates that the video game will be supporting VR as well, which would enhance the gamer's experience.

There is no exact release date yet for "Half Life 3," but the title will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018. This means that Valve may probably launch the game around that time.
