With only two weeks to go until the release of "Halo 5: Guardians," 343 Industries is gearing up for the highly anticipated game's release.

The game developers at 343 Industries have begun to release exciting new details about the upcoming game and its features, including the new Warzone mode.

In order to ensure a trouble-free launch, the game developers released Halo 5 beta quite early last year. Doing so enabled 343 Industries to incorporate feedback from pro gamers and carry out these game changes and improvements.

The early beta testing also allowed the game developers to work on the new Warzone mode, where two 12-player teams battling against each other in large scale maps and attempting to complete objectives. There are two modes – the first involves one team battling A.I. opponents and the second features all human players. The winning team is awarded with 1000 victory points.

"Warzone was a lot more challenging that we thought and there were points were it did not feel like it was coming together. It was a huge bet for us. I think it was pretty nerve-wracking at some points, but there was a moment several months ago where people started getting good scores back from user research," 343 Industries co-founder, Bonnie Ross, said.

After a lot of time spent on developing new iterations and implementing changes, the Warzone mode has become "an incredible and new experience that people are going to love," according to the game's design director, Kevin Franklin.

Through the Warzone mode, 343 Industries also hopes to attract both Arena players and new players who have yet to experience multiplayer campaigns to the "Halo" game franchise. "We really feel like it's a great place for players to live a 'Halo' fantasy of having a massive, massive Halo battle," Franklin added.

"Halo 5: Guardians" will be released on Oct. 27 for the Xbox One console.
