"Halo 5" players can look forward to receiving some new content later this month via the "Hog Wild" update, though they may not be getting as much as they previously expected.

In a recent post on Halo Waypoint, the game's developers revealed that "much of the contents" of the "Hog Wild" update have now been transferred over to the "Warzone Firefight" expansion.

The game's developers also shared that the changes in the release plans have been made so that the some of the bigger items that were previously meant to be included in the "Hog Wild" update could be tweaked and polished further, now that they are scheduled for a later release.

Still, while the upcoming "Hog Wild" content drop may no longer be as big as previously intended, "Halo 5" players can still look forward to receiving some new items upon the update being released later this month.

In the same Halo Waypoint post, the developers gave fans a look at some of the items included in the "Hog Wild" update, such as the new weapons, pieces of armor and even the Sword Needler Warthog.

As for the "Warzone Firefight" expansion, that now-larger update is expected to include new Warzone and Arena maps, as well as some Forge additions.

The expansion is also slated to add the PvE mode as well as different maps for it, along with other REQs and additional features that developers will detail further in the coming weeks.

"Warzone Firefight" is also expected to be the largest free update to be released for the game thus far.

The upcoming "Warzone Firefight" expansion is set to arrive near the end of June, though a specific release date has yet to be provided.

More news about "Halo 5" and the contents of its upcoming updates should be made available within the next few weeks.
