It has been almost five years since the last "Harry Potter" film adaptation premiered and nine years since the last installment of the novels were released, but followers of the highly successful franchise have remained steadfast in keeping their fandom alive.

Fortunately for them, J.K. Rowling, the author of the "Harry Potter" books, understand their longing to get their wizard and magic fix and she has since teased her fans about the going-abouts of her well-loved characters.

Last Sept. 1, 2015, Rowling sent out a tweet asking fans who are in London to wish James S. Potter well on his first day at Hogwarts. James is the son of Harry Potter with his bestfriend's sister, Ginny Weasley. The young Potter has recently turned eleven and according to the rules of Hogwarts, he is now eligible to attend his first year of magic school.

"I'm in Edinburgh, so could somebody at King's Cross wish James S Potter good luck for me? He's starting at Hogwarts today. #BackToHogwarts," read J.K. Rowling's tweet.

It could be recalled that Harry, Ron and Hermione, the three main characters in both the novels and the films, were sorted into Gryffindor. Unsurprisingly, James was sorted in the same house as well, at least according to Rowling.

"Have just heard that James S Potter has been Sorted (to nobody's surprise) into Gryffindor. Teddy Lupin (Head Boy, Hufflepuff) disappointed."

While the author's recent tweet are truly very exciting, fans of the series have one more "Harry Potter" thing to look forward to. Last 2013, it was announced that Rowling's companion novel, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," would be adapted into a movie. The film is expected to center on Newt Scamander in his adventures, as he explores New York's secret community of witches and wizards. Eddie Redmayne has signed on to play Newt Scamander.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is scheduled to premiere in the U.S. on Nov. 18, 2016.
