'Hitman – Episode Three: Marrakesh' release: New targets, challenges arriving on May 31

(IO Interactive/Square Enix)"Episode Three: Marrakesh" arrives to "Hitman" on May 31.

Following Paris and Sapienza, "Hitman" continues its mission in Marrakesh. Game developer IO Interactive has confirmed that the third episode of the stealth video game will be released on May 31, Tuesday, for all platforms.

Players will be able to take advantage of everything that Morocco has to offer. "Hitman" will allow players to explore the Berber markets, a maze of alleys and shaded rooftop terraces. Players will also come across the many street vendors selling unique items and the souks located in the medina walls.

As players veer away from the busy marketplace, they will see the Swedish Consulate building. The building, considered as an architectural marvel, features minimalist Scandinavian design with elements built out of glass, concrete, and wood.

"Episode Three: Marrakesh" will introduce 20 levels of mastery that will give access to new weapons, gear, starting locations and agency pickups. Weapons earned during this stage can also be used when players travel back to Paris or Sapienza.

As the story mission in Marrakesh begins, players will be tasked to eliminate two new targets. The first is Claus Stranberg, a private banker who is currently hiding out in the Swedish Consulate. Next up is Reza Zaydan, an army General who has an elite squad of soldiers at his disposal. He has set up temporary headquarters in the heart of the city.

According to IO, "Episode Three: Marrakesh" will also have more live content arriving in the near future. Along with new challenges and opportunities, it will also be an entirely new setting for the Contracts Mode. Players can expect to see new Elusive Targets and Escalation Contracts arriving soon.

The upcoming update will also introduce improvements and bug fixes for certain game issues.

IO Interactive will be releasing more information in the days leading up to the release of "Episode Three: Marrakesh."

"Hitman" is available for the PlayStation4, Xbox One, and the Microsoft Windows PC.
