The makers of Netflix's political drama hit, House of Cards, experienced a slight hurdle during the filming of its third season, when it was time to film scenes in the UN headquarters.

Filming for the third season of House of Cards is on its way, but it seems that the cast and crew are having too much trouble during the process. First, the show experienced tax-related issues while shooting in Maryland, causing delays in the production. It turned out that Maryland had state incentives that proved to be problematic to the budget allocated for the shooting of the season. Luckily, a deal was agreed upon by the state and the producers.

This time, the producers are having a problem with their hopes to shoot in the UN headquarters. Producers of the show wanted to film scenes inside the headquarters for an "authentic" feel. For the show to allow production inside the UN premises, an approval needs to be signed by the UN Press Department, along with 15 members of the council.

The UNSC coordinator for the Russian delegation doesn't seem too keen on having celebrities, camera crews, other parts of the production team swarm a very important political haven. Mikael Agasandyan expressed his opinion on the matter in a statement, saying that it will be inappropriate for a television show to be filmed inside the headquarters.

"We are of [the] opinion that the Security Council premises should be available at any time and on short notice. Besides that, we consistently insist that the Security Council premises are not an appropriate place for filming, staging, etc," said Agasandyan in the statement.
